The “Estadio de la Cerámica”
The “Estadio de la Cerámica” was born from a dream of Villarreal CF to renovate its old stadium and be able to compete with the great stadiums in Europe, with a unique and innovative design.
In 2017, Wandegar was presented with this architectural challenge for which a technical solution was designed for the new stadium and executed in record time until then, materializing with a ventilated façade that embodied both the beauty and tradition of a town historically linked to ceramics.
However, over time, the stadium has needed refurbishment to keep up with modern standards of safety and comfort for fans and it is in 2022 that the Stadium expands. As it could not be otherwise, Wandegar is in charge of the execution of the envelope through the use of the Rediwa CAT 3 Oculto systems for facades and the Skycid system for the ceilings; having in its entirety approximately 9000 m2 of yellow ceramic.
